ABRY offers mentorship for 200 and 500RYT who are interested in offering body-positive, inclusive yoga classes. Teachers who complete a mentorship program are recognized as ABRY teachers and can advertise classes as such. ABRY now offers mentorship for personal development, you don't need to be a yoga teacher.

ABRY mentorship includes an extensive and honest examination of the impact society, family, romantic relationships, peers, media, and trauma has had on the development of body image. This inquiry includes the way race, gender identity, skin color, size, sexual expression and orientation, health, and ability has shaped opinions about personal bodies and the bodies of others, from individual and cultural perspectives.

ABRY recognized teachers must complete an intersectional social justice project that demonstrates an understanding of the principals of All Bodies Rise Yoga. This project is guided throughout the mentorship.

Prior to becoming ABRY recognized, teachers must attend at least twelve ABRY yoga classes, one ABRY workshop, and demonstrate the ability to teach, refine, and teach again, a 60 minute ABRY yoga class that encompasses ABRY principals. Candidates for ABRY recognition may also be asked to assist a workshop.

The mentorship process takes as long as it takes until it is complete. This is an individual process, and although the steps and principals remain consistent, the process is as individual and unique as you are.

Once recognized, ABRY teachers agree to donate their time or host a fundraiser to support anti-oppression movements at least once a year, for the duration of their teaching career.
